1962

Only in 1961, after years and years of bans, trials and diatribes was the publication of Henry Miller's most famous novels, Tropico del Cancro and Tropico del Capricorno possible in the States. But as it was still impossible in Italy, Luciano Bianciardi's translation, commissioned by Feltrinelli, was printed in France, distributed abroad and sold under the counter in Italy. It was only after a succession of seizures and subsequent releases that, in 1967, the book was on sale in Italy. The works of the Spanish poet, Miguel Hernandez and those of the Soviet Evgenij Evtusenko were published in the series "Poesia".

Lungo viaggio attraverso il fascismo by Ruggero Zangrandi (top, left) was published in 1962. This book marked a change in the way of considering Italy's Fascist past.
