There were several new initiatives, among which the series "Franchi
Narratori" is worthy of note. This series was to host texts considered
"irregular" in so far as they did not meet the normal editorial
criteria: texts where direct testimony was offered by the protagonist of the
stories narrated: (Diario di un omosessuale by Giacomo Dacquino and Harry:
ritratto di un psicopatico were the first titles published.

(Form left) Ugoberto Alfassio Grimaldi, author of Il re "buono",
an exemplary reconstruction of Italy under King Umberto I. Ranuccio Bianchi
Bandinelli, whose two volumes on Roman Art were published in the series
"Mondo della figura"; João Guimarães Rosa, author of Grande
Sertao, on his arrival in Milan; Carmelo Bene, whose L'occhio magico
was published in "Materiali".
Inge Feltrinelli became President of the Publishing House and Gian Piero Brega
and Silvio Pozzi were appointed Executive Directors.
The
anthology of "Asino" compiled by Podrecca and Galantara was the
first in a series of volumes dedicated to the satirical journals of the past.
Alfredo Chiàppori was presented in "Universale Economica".
