A highly significant and equally successful publication this year in the series "Franchi Narratori": Padre padrone, by the former Sardinian shepherd Gavino Ledda (above). The Taviani brothers based their film (1997) on this, giving it the same title. The latest translation, by Enrico Cicogna, of L'autunno del patriarca by Gabriel Garcķa Mįrquez came out this year.






A new series "Al vertice" is dedicated to the analyses, made by journalists and political observers, of protagonists of Italian politics.
