Terzani (right) gives an eye-witness account in Giai Phong! La liberazione
di Saigon. The Paraguayan writer, Augusto Roa Bastos published Figlio
di uomo, a novel about the Chaco war in the thirties, in which he had
taken part in his youth. His novel, Io il supremo, centred on a
nineteenth century dictator, prototype of Latin-American dictatorship, was to
be published in 1978. One important new author this year was Bruno Bettelheim
with Psichiatria non oppressiva; another was Luisa Muraro with La
signora del gioco. I bambini e la TV reports the first research on
children's television. In Fascismo e "città nuove" Riccardo
Mariani describes urban development between the two wars.
