Other new authors were Livio Zanetti, who wrote Pertini si, Pertini no; Antonio Tabucchi, with Piccoli equivoci senza importanza; Giorgio Agamben (Idea della prosa); Mary Catherine Bateson (Con occhi di figlia. Ritratto di Margaret Mead e Gregory Bateson); Aldo Sacchetti (L'uomo antibiologico. Riconciliare società e natura); Ernst Gombrich, whose Aby Worburg. Una biografia intellettuale had been published in 1983, this year published Custodi della memoria. Tributi ad interpreti della nostra tradizione culturale.
